 Thermal and mechanical activation of magnetic nanoparticles as anti-cancer strategy
A combination of experimental and theoretical techniques for the thermal and mechanical activation of MNPs is being developed. Simultaneously, regarding magneto-mechanical stress different magnetic field configurations  with MNPs allow them to undergo cellular damage only on malignant cells. Two   aspects   of   field   parameters   are   studied:   the   use   of   pulsed   instead   of   alternating   magnetic   field,   as   well   as   the   movement   of the magnetic field source relative to the biological sample in order to reduce the side effects i.e. reduction of eddy currents.
